Corporate Counsel, Product Duties: Working with finance, sales operations, product management, product marketing, engineering, network operations, global information security, and other groups, you will provide excellent legal advice, support and training for the product launch process of a SaaS company (including privacy by design, data inventory and flow mapping, export compliance, open source clearance, and product specific contract terms and contract vehicles). Will respond to requests for advice on a variety of legal and regulatory topics and then assist internal business clients with how relevant laws and regulations affect their business initiatives. Will provide legal analyses of new laws, regulations and industry guidance that impact product development, operations and commercial agreements, and assist in the design and implementation of appropriate policies to ensure compliance, including with respect to data protection and privacy. Will proactively communicate issues back to management and drive good business, legal and operational processes throughout the organization, and draft and implement related policies.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative, strategic and quick-witted individual with meaningful experience in the following areas: Experience with data security and privacy issues required, at a minimum either GDPR or CCPA. SaaS product and licensing experience strongly preferred. Experience with open source licensing and clearance, export compliance, product and channel partner compliance preferred. Excellent project managements and negotiation skills, including soft  skills to encourage, motivate and influence at all levels of the organization and of our customers and partners. Strong writing and drafting skills with keen attention to detail. Effective communication in person, in groups, over video and teleconference. over email and in more formal documentation. A practical, creative and proactive problem-solver who is confident and calm under fire and a strong team player. Highest degree of personal and professional integrity and ethics. 7 + years experience as an attorney, with previous in-house experience preferred. Member in good standing of a state bar in the United States; California, Massachusetts or Pennsylvania preferred.
