Employment and Compliance Counsel Duties: Serve as the primary legal advisor to the company's Human Resources team, providing labor and employment-related legal advice and counsel on a broad range of employment and labor law issues including remote work-force, terminations and discipline, reorganizations, reductions in force, leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations, wage and hour considerations, compensation plans, harassment and discrimination investigations and outcomes. Lead and drive the development and management of Quotient's compliance & ethics strategy and programs, collaborating cross-functionally with other business groups and functions including HR, Finance, IT, Engineering and Product. Proactively identify areas of compliance risk, including employment law, incident response protocols, data management, and other regulatory compliance. Design and implement annual compliance work plan and perform compliance audits. Collaborate with our Product & Privacy counsel on the company's product and privacy compliance program. Coordinate updating/revising company policies per changes in external laws and regulations. Develop and implement effective training programs. Partner with management in promoting a culture of compliance. Conduct, advise, and/or oversee internal investigations of suspected violations of law or company policy or reports from our ethics & compliance hotline. Analyze and advise on proactive risk management and mitigation. Pitch in and help on special projects and other initiatives as needed.

Qualifications: JD Degree from a top tier law school. Admitted to practice law in Utah or California preferred. 6+ years of legal experience; both law firm and in-house experience at a technology company preferred. Experience in employment law and advising HR teams on labor and employment issues. Experience managing litigation is a plus. Knowledge and experience in corporate governance, compliance, and risk management. Prior experience designing and overseeing compliance programs and audits strongly preferred.. Autonomy; work effectively with minimum supervision. Ability to adjust priorities in response to unanticipated events. Close attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with maturity and professionalism. Sound and practical business judgment, intellectual creativity, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality. Friendly, upbeat, with a great attitude and willingness to learn. Fluency translating legal advice into actionable guidance for innovative product and business teams. Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate at multiple levels.
