VP, Assistant General Counsel - Consumer and Community Banking Control Functions The candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to committees and forums involving the CCB Control Functions. Reviewing and advising on documentation provided by the CCB Control Functions to the regulators. Partnering with the businesses, Control Functions and legal colleagues to evaluate, develop and implement consistent and strategically sound policies, practices and procedures and drive other strategic changes and initiatives. Summarizing and advising on legal changes and developments impacting CCB Control Function partners. Providing independent legal advice to CCB Control Functions concerning laws and regulatory requirements. Ensuring clear and open communication between Legal and the CCB Control partners. Supporting CCB Strategy on day-to-day matters concerning competitive intelligence and other topics, and providing legal advice on presentation materials for Firmwide events such as Investor Day. Conducting CCB legal review of the Firm's financial statements and public filings. Supporting special projects as needed. The candidate should have J.D. degree or other equivalent education. Must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment. Must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment. Must have 5+ years of litigation/compliance/regulatory experience. Should preferably have demonstrated experience with different consumer laws (e.g., TCPA, SCRA, UDAAP, FCRA, etc.). Consumer financial services experience is preferred. Experience handling a wide range of litigation matters is preferred. Regulatory or compliance experience is desirable. Should have demonstrated executive/professional presence with the ability and willingness to present to senior business, functional and legal leaders.
