Contracts Counsel The candidate will be primarily supporting the company's North America teams with master services agreements, equipment lease agreements, other customer contracts, and as otherwise required by the Assistant General Counsel, Chemical Technologies. Developing credible working relationships with colleagues in the business teams and support functions, executives in the company, and the corporate headquarters. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with customers through the North America commercial team or directly with the customer's legal, contract and supply chain teams ensuring compliance with the company's contracting policies and procedures, and seeking approval from relevant stakeholders as required. Providing general legal support to the North American commercial team on customer contracts. Managing the customer contracts database. Assisting Assistant General Counsel and others in the Law Department in the development and maintenance of contract manuals, contracting policies, and procedures. Providing training on legal-related subjects. Handling various operational and commercial legal matters as required and advising the North American commercial teams on legal risks. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Chemical Technologies. The candidate must be licensed or qualified for admission in Texas or another North American jurisdiction with 2+ years of contract experience. Experience in the upstream and/or midstream oil & gas industry is preferred. Licensed or qualified for admission in a South American jurisdiction is desirable. Contracts savvy and a strong background with customer-facing tenders, commercial contracts, and best practices are required. Must be a problem solver and able to find creative solutions. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual (or trilingual) (English, and Spanish, Portuguese, or French preferred) required. The ability to work in a team-based environment and to exercise an appropriate combination of cultural sensitivity, approachability, resolve, and diplomacy in order to work effectively within a multicultural environment is needed. Should be highly motivated, confident, enjoy working in a fast-paced business environment, team-oriented, strong at issue spotting and issue solving in ever-changing market conditions, and able to exercise good judgment.
