Corporate Attorney The candidate will handle all of company's legal transactions, partnerships, and projects. The principle goal will be to guarantee that all of company's transactions comply with state laws and regulations, while actively helping the company avoid possible legal risks and violations. Other duties will include consulting and leading all corporate legal processes such as compliance issues, transactions, partnerships, and lawsuits. Advise upper management about all legal matters in corporate transactions. Review and advise on legal aspects of large construction bid packages. Research and advise on construction law issues as required. Manage company legal projects (i.e., revisions to job specific contracts, change order documentation, joint check agreements, etc.). Oversee insurance renewal process across all lines of coverage. Proactively identify and prioritize legal risks and mitigation strategies. Provide legal support for all company insurance claims (i.e., Auto, WC, GL). Oversee and coordinate all litigation. Manage relationships with external litigation firms (i.e., collections, lawsuits). Negotiate and draft various contractual agreements with subcontractors, owners, contractors, and vendors. Assist outside counsel on case strategy and legal analysis. Organize discovery responses and prepare and identify corporate representatives for depositions. Review and draft responses to third party subpoenas. Provide status reports on pending legal matters. Give advice in course of actions for department/division legal issues (including HR, safety, and claims). Support collection efforts. Manage updates to the credit review and application process. Follow up on delinquent payments. Arrange payment plans, as necessary. Provide legal advice on miscellaneous projects. Create and implement various employment policies and procedures. Develop and lead management-level training programs. Educate employees on germane legal matters as preventative legal measures. Conduct internal investigations and prepare position statements and responses to EEOC, OSHA, and other state and local agencies.

The candidate should have Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to a State Bar. 10 years of practical relevant experience. Broad construction law experience in the public sector necessary with both transactional and dispute resolution experience. Project finance and state/federal procurement background a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline oriented environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal management skills.
