Real Estate Attorney The candidate will draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements. Draft and negotiate commercial leases, estoppels, and subordination agreements. Review and negotiate financing agreements with lenders. Review title commitments and surveys, title/survey objection letters and interface directly with paralegals and title companies and surveyors to resolve any issues or discrepancies. Review environmental reports and work to resolve any issues. Draft operating agreements and joint venture agreements with investors and partners. Draft and negotiate construction agreements with owners and subcontractors. Coordinate acquisition and disposition closings. Manage outside counsel. Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written required. Excellent problem-solving skills required. Ability to interpret information from a variety of sources and create consistent, accurate, and useful documents required. Ability to think analytically and problem solve, combined with a willingness to ask questions, and work collaboratively required. The candidate will assist the General Counsel and Real Estate Development team with complex commercial, industrial, and multi-family real estate transactions from purchase & sale contract through due diligence, leasing, financing, closing, construction, and disposition. Juris Doctorate required. Admission to Ohio State Bar required. Proficient in Microsoft office suite (with heavy emphasis on Word and Excel) required. 5 - 7 years of commercial real estate experience required.
