Principal Corporate Counsel, AI & Digital Transformation

Principal Corporate Counsel, AI & Digital Transformation Responsibilities: Act as primary legal counsel to engineering teams running Dynamics cloud solutions that raise novel artificial intelligence, data privacy and intellectual property issues. Provide practical counseling to help ensure compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements worldwide. Drive deep engagement with clients to understand business strategies, timelines, and goals, and map legal resources appropriately. Draft and negotiate a variety of legal agreements in coordination with business development and engineering teams, including product development, licensing and intellectual property agreements. Partner with engineering, AI ethics, and regulatory affairs teams to develop policies and best practices related to issues that affect the business. Assist compliance teams in addressing security certification audits. Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive those improvements and share those improvements across the wider legal community. Qualifications: JD Degree or international equivalent law degree, excellent academic credentials, and an active license to practice law in a US jurisdiction. 5+ years ? experience, preferably in the technology industry, including solid expertise in regulatory, AI, privacy, cloud services and intellectual property. Outstanding analytical and communication skills. Bias for action, with the ability to think strategically and find creative solutions to legal issues, willingness to embrace smart risks in complex and ambiguous situations. Process-oriented. Ability to build trusted advisor relationships with engineering and business clients. Ability to work independently, meet demanding deadlines in the face of ambiguity, triage effectively, and adjust tasks frequently. Demonstrated ability to work collaborative with colleagues, clients, outside counsel and subject matter experts.
