Senior Corporate Counsel

Senior Corporate Counsel Duties: Day to day advising of business executives on legal matters affecting the company, including contract interpretation and risk assessment. Structure, drafting, and negotiation of technology contracts with customers, vendors and strategic partners (e.g., software licenses, hardware purchases, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, and outsourcing agreements). Evaluate product development initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws. Day to day advising and support for Company's marketing professionals, including review of marketing copy and product claims. Handle other general corporate work as necessary.

Qualifications: Law degree from a top-tier law school. Member in good standing of at least one state Bar. 3-5 years relevant experience in legal practice at a high-quality law firm, in-house legal position, or both. Experience with complex technology transactions. Knowledge of laws and regulations generally applicable to payment or financial services providers. Ability to understand, interpret and explain contractual terms and conditions and legal principles to business staff and customers and assist with negotiation strategy. Ability to work directly with senior levels of management and to effectively communicate legal issues and obtain input and decision making within tight deadlines. Ability to evaluate new or evolving product use cases from a legal perspective across a broad product portfolio. Knowledge of and experience with privacy and/or data protection regulations. Experience advising corporate clients. Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the payments industry or financial services industry. Experience with information security standards and data privacy regulations.
