Global Privacy Senior Counsel Duties: Provide expert-level legal support to the Chief Privacy and Data Protection Officer and Privacy Office on all aspects of compliance with global privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and others. Provide strategic advice to Privacy Office to address privacy and security risks throughout the organization, including in the business units, commercial organization, marketing, human resources, procurement, legal, and others. Act as a strategic partner and support Chief Privacy & Data Protection Officer in preparing briefings and recommendations on critical privacy matters to senior leadership and executives, as well as internal and customer-facing materials regarding privacy. Support development of Privacy-by-Design strategies for complex solutions involving products and services across all HP business units. Research and advise on the impact of proposed or enacted federal, state, and international laws and regulations, initiatives, and enforcement actions impacting privacy and support the Privacy Office in developing company positions and responses. Provide expert guidance on international data transfer requirements and be well-versed on various transfer mechanisms, including Binding Corporate Rules. Draft and review privacy terms in customer, vendor, and partner contracts and serve as an escalation point for privacy-related contract issues. Serve as point of escalation for data subject rights requests. Support internal HP investigations and incident management activities by advising on investigations, notification requirements, and corrective actions. Provide legal support for M&A activity and integrations. Oversee outside counsel. Act as a strategic partner and support Chief Privacy & Data Protection Officer in preparing briefings and recommendations on critical privacy matters to senior leadership and executives, as well as internal and customer-facing materials regarding privacy.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited University, with excellent academics. Meets local legal license requirements. 5+ years of experience in privacy. Understanding of complex regulations with an ability to communicate effectively to business leaders and employees. Experience leading multiple, highly complex, strategic, specialty law projects, issues, and transactions. Ability to drive issues to completion with minimal supervision, interfacing with diverse internal groups, departments, business units, and cultures. High energy, initiative, and creativity to work effectively with individuals from across Global Legal Affairs, the compliance functions, and the businesses. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Flexible and able to handle, prioritize, and follow through on numerous projects simultaneously. Excellent presentation, networking, and influence skills. Builds trust and collaboration within formal and ad hoc teams. Thrives in change. Demonstrates a growth mindset.
