Associate Counsel, Privacy and Regulated Technologies Duties: Support the continued improvement of global privacy and data security programs, including helping to maintain existing legal (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD) and third-party privacy frameworks (e.g., TRUSTe Enterprise Privacy Certification, APEC CBPR and PRP). Provide legal guidance to product, sales and other business colleagues on compliance matters relating to data privacy and security, including staying current with emerging global regulatory and legislative changes, assisting with regulatory filings (where applicable), to help the business achieve its strategic goals. Lead, consult on, or assist with global, cross-functional compliance initiatives, including creation of requirements, frameworks, and standards to continuously improve the company's privacy posture. Assist with the development and updating of policies and procedures, contract addenda and contract negotiation playbooks relating to data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance issues. Serve as a subject-matter-expert and point of escalation for customer and supplier-facing contract negotiations on these topics. Work closely with the Information Security and Governance, Risk, and Compliance ( GRC ) Teams on ongoing privacy and security obligations, including privacy and security awareness campaigns, data inventory management, annual privacy audits, sub-processor disclosure updates, review and draft public-facing statements on product-specific privacy and security measures, etc.. Provide the Company's product and business teams with legal and regulatory support for projects designed to help drive market expansion and other strategic initiatives, including in the fields of Unified Communications, healthcare, and export compliance. Assist the Company with maintaining its ongoing compliance and reporting obligations, working in close collaboration with the Company's tax and finance departments as well as external advisors and outside counsel. Investigate and conduct due diligence regarding new and emerging compliance obligations that may impact the organization or align with corporate objectives. Assist with regulatory reporting, telecommunications (VoIP)-related filings and other compliance projects as needed.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school [equivalent law degree in Europe]. License to practice law in your applicable state [equivalent admission in Europe]. 1-3 years experience, preferably at a technology company, as well as experience negotiating complex commercial agreements with privacy and security addenda. Demonstrated experience and comfort in a customer-facing capacity, as well as a history of working with senior leadership across Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Security, and other key functions. CIPP/CIPM or equivalent privacy certification considered a plus. Ability to read, understand and implement the requirements of comprehensive global privacy programs (e.g., GDPR or CCPA). Ability to distill complex regulatory requirements into practical, actionable, and measured action items. A team player with an ability to work collaboratively with product teams as well as other attorneys. Experience and comfort drafting privacy and security policy and contract addendum. Proven ability to organize, prioritize and juggle a variety of complex or multi-faceted tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to think creatively to find solutions to complex issues. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong research and technical (computer) skills. A proactive problem solver with ability to spot issues before they become blockers. Ability to excel while working in a fast-paced, dynamic, professional environment.
