Employment Counsel Responsibilities: Advise the system on rapidly evolving U.S. employment law and policy issues; Partner with supervising attorney and the Governmental Affairs team to review and analyze proposed legislation and regulations in the employment space, particularly as they relate to the franchise business model; Coordinate cross-brand review, alignment, and implementation of employment policies and procedures, including those related to post-COVID hybrid working models; Work closely with cross-functional teams and outside legal counsel to provide legal support on cross-border employment law and immigration matters; Draft, maintain, and train on important employment-related forms, including arbitration agreements, offer letters and severance agreements. Assist in the management of parent company litigation matters, including matters outside of the employment space.

Requirements: JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in any state in the U.S. Strong background in employment law with 3-5 years experience as a practicing attorney. Preferred Requirements: Excellent listening skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to self-start and drive action individually and collaboratively in a collegial environment. Sound judgment, critical thinking and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency on cross-functional teams with demonstrated ability to influence others. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and handle changing priorities successfully in a fast-paced environment. High personal and professional integrity and the ability to establish personal credibility and trust across the organization.
