Contracts Counsel / Lead Responsibilities: Will be a key member of the Contracts function. Supports client contract acquisition and management, including negotiation, identifying and mitigating risks, maintaining contract governance, and supporting business and operational matters throughout the life cycle of the contract including advising on complex project related issues and disputes. Will be the focal point for the Contracts function within the Renewable Power and Energy (RP&E) business. Working alongside commercial, business and operational teams, the Contracts Manager will support client contracts from tender through delivery, including negotiation and reviews of client tenders and contracts, MOUs, Bidding Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Parent Company Guarantees, subcontract flowdowns and other agreements required to meet the RP&E business needs. Providing support for large capital projects will be a significant aspect of this role.

Qualifications: Undergraduate degree, and a Juris Doctorate is preferred, however advanced degree in Business or Finance and/or relevant professional experience maybe substituted. Experience and proven track record of contract review and negotiation in a service company or Owner/Operator environment. Work experience in the project delivery industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key contracting principles and other significant project issues; demonstrated experience with EPC and other construction industry delivery models preferred. Experience in the negotiation and set up of JVs, MOUs, bidding agreements and consortium agreements is helpful. Experience in developing/leading strategies in formal and informal dispute resolution. Strong working knowledge of insurance and risk management tools related to construction and engineering industries. Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures. Proven track record in contracts review, development and negotiation. Excellent negotiating skills. Strategic thinker who can contribute to the management and improvement of the overall operation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Planning and organizational skills. Strong client focus and ability to build relationships and trust. Apply Online.
