Employment Counsel Duties: Provides high quality oral and written legal advice concerning Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, USERRA, ERISA, etc. in a cost-effective and timely manner to internal clients. Assess demand letters, recommends options to internal clients, assist with DE&I and employee resource group matters, and, when authorized, negotiate settlement arrangements. Handle administrative charges (including assessing charges, interviewing witnesses, preparing responses, presenting witnesses). Manage outside counsel in connection with state or federal court litigation; assess strategy and recommend various options for internal consideration. Work with benefits counsel on qualified pension & 401k plans, executive compensation, non-qualified deferred compensation, 409A, and health and welfare benefits, and other complex benefit issues. May prepare and conduct training sessions for internal clients. Maintains current knowledge of legal issues and developments in employment law and/or benefits law. Other duties may vary according to practice group.

Qualifications: Completion of law school with a JD Degree or L.L.B. degree and admission to the bar of at least one jurisdiction in the United States required. 5 years ? experience as an employment attorney; ERISA knowledge desired. Requirements include excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, managing multiple priorities, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis of legal issues.
