Senior Regulatory Counsel - Credit, Mortgage, Lending, Banking Duties: Organizes and directs the work of the Offerings Support Team so as: to put as many existing Offerings as possible under legal control; participate in the offering development early on so as to make them compliant by design with a focus on early intervention and proactive shaping of solutions. Responsible for developing actionable solutions and practical tools/recommendations/guidelines and trainings for Offerings, easily usable by the Legal Contracting and Contract Management teams. Operates the Offerings Support Team cost effectively and consistent with relevant Accenture policies by: optimizing the development and use of standardized tools and processes, and developing alternative sourcing for offering/alliance/delivery support requirements. Supports the Global Compliance strategy and the related Global Compliance programs implementation, in particular, working with the Global Compliance team. As per the applicable Compliance Responsibility Matrix that describes the responsibilities of the Compliance stakeholders of the Legal group, and through his/her regional team: help determine the Offering conditions dimension and feasibility of Accenture compliance programs; where required or justified by an Offering or some delivery terms, suggest new policies and contribute to policy design and implementation among the Legal Contracting Team and business team; advocate Compliance programs with the Offering leadership Serves as career counselor to various Legal Professionals within the Offerings Support Team and will encourage and foster their professional development. Interacts with internal experts, legal Subject Matter Experts, and peers at other companies. Coordinates with teams throughout CORE and Legal Contracting Services to ensure delivery of required CORE Offerings& Alliance services. Manages the development and maintenance of legal/compliance library that includes, but not limited to: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, FHA, VA, Federal and State, etc. Leads the provision of subject matter expertise to the business unit and other staff regarding compliance topics, developments, processes, and product development life cycle. Manages and delivers monthly compliance newsletters, specific and targeted issue bulletins and legislative updates. Helping lenders of all sizes and models with a combination of technology and software coupled with mortgage process work.

Qualifications: JD Degree or equivalent law degree (based on geography) required with tenure in good standing with one state Bar. 8+ years of experience as an attorney providing services to the financial services industry (consumer & commercial lending). Preferred Skill Qualifications: Have deep knowledge of: TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, GLB (Privacy and Data Security), Patriot Act, and FCRA, including implementing Regulations such as Regulations Z, X, B, and C. Have specific knowledge of Mortgage Lending and Consumer Lending products offered by State Regulated Mortgage Bankers, Federally Chartered Banks and State Chartered Banks. Good business acumen, knowledge of business strategy (or similar business strategy at another company if experienced hire). Good judgment, an ability to prioritize and make decisions, and a high level of common sense, including the ability to see around the corner and spot risks before they materialized. Strong writing and negotiation skills. Good executive presence and the ability to work effectively with the senior business leaders at Accenture, partners from law firms.
