Tax Counsel

Tax Counsel Responsibilities: Advise and counsel company on various tax matters, such as tax research and planning, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, transfer pricing, international tax, tax audit support, and tax return reporting. Provide legal support for the Corporate Tax Department including tax compliance, tax accounting and tax planning. Provide tax legal support for other functions within TI, such as HR and Payroll, Law, Corporate Development. Review and draft tax-related contractual language supporting transactions and major projects. Manage IRS audit team and coordinate responses from various groups within TI. Serve as primary contact between TI and IRS audit team. Minimize financial impact of proposed audit adjustments. Engage and work with outside consultants as required.

Requirements: Law Degree JD Degree, Bar admittance required. 6 years of tax experience in Federal, International, M&A, Corporate Governance. Preferred Qualifications: High ethical and professional standards. Excellent organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization. Outstanding analytical skills, critical and creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, detail orientated. Tax research skills. General understanding of corporate income taxation, taxation of employee benefits, and IRS processes.
