Corporate Counsel - Commercial Transactions

Corporate Counsel - Commercial Transactions Duties: Collaborate with General Counsel, Assistant General Counsel, and other Legal Department team members to negotiate and draft contracts, manager regulatory matters, and provide general advice, counsel, and legal support to business teams. Maintain a crucial role in the company's commercial transactions, including without limitation real estate transactions, leases, mergers and acquisitions, vendor agreements, client agreements, consulting and other service agreements, information technology agreements, etc.. Be an integrated team member with business team members, progressively working directly with and advising business clients. Facilitate and help business team members accomplish their objectives with maintaining compliance and mitigating risk.

Requirements: Law degree and excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited school is required. 2-4 years of legal experience in a law firm or a corporate legal department (exceptionally impressive candidates with less experience may be considered). Must have an active license to practice law in any state and obtain a license to practice law in Oregon within 1 year of starting employment if not already admitted to the Oregon Bar. A strong communicator with excellent writing and speaking skills ?charismatic and confident presentation style in interactions with executive management and clients. Highly collaborative and strategic; detail-oriented and hands-on approach to work and partnership. Maintain the highest ethical standards in dealing with confidential information. A strong general work ethic and customer service/problem-solving mentality. A relationship builder who can establish trust and credibility across the organization as well as with other key external constituents. Highly enthusiastic and engaged. Driven by excellence, quality of service, and efficiency. Able to handle both a wide range of matters and a high volume of matters, with a focus on presenting the greatest risk/reward to the Company and on what adds the most value. Independent and a self-starter. Not afraid to tackle new challenges and legal issues and make critical decisions. Innovative and entrepreneurial approach to the practice of law. Strong sense of urgency and action-oriented. Interest in and enthusiasm for the company's business.
