Senior Counsel Employment Responsibilities: Advise and train HR professionals and managers on a broad range of employment law issues including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, terminations, contingent workers, accommodations, leaves of absence, wage and hour and all employment-related matters under federal, state, and local laws. Investigate complaints of unfair or inappropriate treatment of employees. Manage outside counsel on employment related matters and litigation. Assist in developing, reviewing, and revising employment related policies and procedures to ensure multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance, especially in light of the Post-COVID work from anywhere culture. Develop and deliver proactive (and practical) training to business leaders on a wide variety of employment law matters. Ability to practically evaluate risk and provide clear recommendations to HR and management. Draft and negotiate employment-related documents including at-will and formal employment agreements, standard offer letters, service agreements, separation agreements and restrictive covenant agreements. Support HR professionals on compensation, incentives, benefits, ERISA and immigration matters. Actively monitor new employment related laws and regulations and provide proactive and strategic compliance advice to HR. Coordinate with's regional counsel in Europe and Asia to ensure global consistency in our approach to employment matters. Partner with Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) on programs, training and outreach as needed.

Requirements: JD Degree and active license to practice law. 5-7 years of employment law experience advising on a breadth of topics from regulatory advice to managing contested matters (required), with prior in-house experience preferred. Experience supporting international business operations. Strong drafting/negotiating skills (required). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience working with public company clients in the technology sector strongly preferred with general understanding of intellectual property as related to employment issues. Self-starter, positive, and highly motivated team player with ability to adapt to and effectively utilize technology. Diligent and detail oriented in a fast-paced environment. Ability to collaborate and establish trust and rapport with team members and other *** employees. Ability to work independently under time and business pressure. Excellent computer skills and strong familiarity with Microsoft Office.
