Contracts Counsel Duties: Drafting, reviewing, editing, and negotiating contracts and subcontracts with the company's clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors including proprietary contract forms for operations. Involvement in policy development and implementation around the contracting process. Involvement in development and implementation of Contracts Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform. Performing legal research connected to the contracting process and overall risk management practices. Assisting General Counsel in providing legal education to project executives, managers, and administrative personnel. Calendaring and managing deadlines for projects and assignments. Compiling and analyzing data and preparing reports and presentations for executives and others. Involvement with insurance issues with the company's broker for all lines of insurance as well as surety bonds. Requirements: Must be admitted to The Florida Bar or certified as Authorized House Counsel by the Supreme Court of Florida. Contracts and construction law experience preferred. Willingness and ability to become proficient in use of CLM platform. Willingness to become a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS). Willingness to complete continuing education courses deemed necessary by General Counsel. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse individuals and to consistently handle interpersonal situations in a professional and respectful manner. Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and to meet deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and grammatically proper contract documents without the use of legalese. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat Pro; Google Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides; Thomson Reuters Westlaw, Practical Law, and Practical Law Connect; and ability to learn new software applications.
