Senior Assistant General Counsel- Employment Law The candidate will draft, review, and negotiate a variety of revenue and expenditure contracts and leases, including medical equipment leases, software license agreements and grants relating to operations, identifying potential legal risks, recommending solutions and facilitating organizational objectives. Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on behalf of Legal to streamline and improve procurement and contract review process while adhering to regulations and policies. Supervise the Legal Contract Administrator in collaboration with the Legal Administrative Director to develop new processes for Legal contact review. Provide legal advice and counsel on a variety of health law matters including day-to-day legal matters with a heavy emphasis on employment, HR, and labor law, Draft and review policies and procedures and confirm compliance with federal, State, and local laws. Assist the General Counsel with other matters as they arise., Graduation from an accredited law school with a J.D. degree required. A minimum of 8 years experience practicing as an attorney with an emphasis in employment law. Experience in software licensing agreements preferred. Experience in health law preferred. Experience with implementation and management of an electronic contract management system preferred. Ability to review and negotiate contracts involving medical equipment, research activities, grants, IT software, and legal/commercial terms. Ability to document complex contractual arrangements with attention to detail. Knowledge of procurement process and experience working with purchasing teams. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to improve processes related to contract management. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Colorado State Bar required.
