Assistant General Counsel, Compliance Duties: Work directly with the Sr. Director, Compliance and Ethics and other Compliance management to advise the business on compliance issues, such as anti-bribery, import-export, sanctions, antiboycott and conflicts of interest. Draft new policies and create functional guidance to help Micron team members comply with applicable laws and Company policy. Partner with Compliance & Ethics personnel to design and implement risk assessments across both business functions and geographic areas and design effective controls based on those assessments. Assist Compliance personnel in reviewing, approving and remediating potential conflicts of interest and trade sanction screenings results. Develop strong relationships across the business to identify and address compliance risk and keep abreast of new developments. Serve as the Global Trade Compliance team's secondary contact for trade law issues such as sanctions, product classification, deemed exports, anti-boycott laws, and trade due diligence for potential acquisitions and other transactions. Assist in maintaining Micron's product classification current by working with Global Trade personnel and engineers to collect information regarding Micron technology and encryption and other potentially controlled technology. Assist in the preparation of all necessary licenses. Assist Compliance & Ethics and Global Trade Compliance teams in the review and escalation of due diligence reports. Conduct internal investigations as necessary. Assist in conducting Compliance & Ethics training. Support the Compliance & Ethics team's communications efforts. Provide key stakeholders with timely updates on regulatory and trade-related developments, and adjust internal processes as needed.

Qualifications: JD Degree, preferably from an accredited institution. Valid Bar registration (or registered in-house counsel license). 7+ years of experience as an attorney, with primary experience in compliance (including anti-bribery) and trade law (e.g. trade, sanctions, antiboycott and import/export compliance). Strategic thinker who can assimilate complex legal concepts, apply them to novel situations, and find practical business solutions. Ability to clearly communicate complex legal topics. Collaborative and responsive, with strong business and legal acumen. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong commitment to integrity. Ability to travel internationally. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years in-house experience as compliance counsel with a global corporation, preferably in technology or similar sector. 3+ years in-house experience with international trade law, including customs programs, import and export classification, technology control plans, deemed exports, and third-party risk management programs.
