Senior Tax Counsel Responsibilities: Analyze international business activities, M&A transactions, financing and commercial transactions, including identification and evaluation of alternatives and providing recommendation of solutions to senior management. Develop, plan and implement multinational tax planning projects with significant impact to the company. Recommend tax-related decisions; provide management and oversight for tax issues in assigned markets and/or business functions. Maintain knowledge of existing and proposed U.S. tax rules, legislation, rulings, regulations and litigation as well as relevant foreign tax law. Closely monitor and advise on changes in tax law in assigned countries as well as the U.S. international tax law that may affect the company's tax positions. Partner with reporting team in modeling and review of ETR calculations, as well as providing advice on the interpretation and application of U.S. international tax law. Partner with Transfer Pricing team to monitor and counsel management on global transfer pricing policies and issues, design and implement transfer pricing strategies. Partner with Global Tax Indirect Tax team regarding VAT and other indirect tax planning. Partner with Tax Policy and Domestic Tax team on U.S. and international tax reform as well as U.S. domestic tax planning. Coordinate and interface with functions outside Global Tax (e.g., Treasury, Controller, Finance, Legal, supply chains, etc.). Actively participate, manage and oversee income tax audits for the assigned markets; this person will be the key Global Tax contact for managing and bringing relevant local markets non-U.S. tax audits to successful resolutions. Work with Global Tax and business personnel to analyze and advise on current audit-related issues and audit implications of planning ideas. Effectively manage outside counsel and accounting advisors. Partner with Indirect Tax and Transfer Pricing team on audit support asneeded. Extensive interface with non-U.S. tax authority agents and be responsible for developing positive relationships with such tax agents. Analyze and assess uncertain tax filing positions under ASC 740-10 to determine recognition and measurement. Partner with Tax Accounting team to ensure the proper accounting and external financial reporting of tax planning strategies, including the recognition and coordination of the book and tax effects of events.

Qualifications: A JD degree is required; a Tax LLM or CPA is a plus. 10+ years ? relevant experience with a major, publicly-held corporation, a major law firm or a big 4 public accounting firm; depending on the type of experience, candidates with 7+ years of experience with a major law firm will also be considered. 4+ years of professional tax experience with a major law firm is preferred. Strong analytical skills and understanding of tax planning on a multinational level. Thorough knowledge of existing and proposed U.S. tax laws, with a focus on U.S. international tax rules. Proficiency in Excel. Excellent writing skills. Exceptional business communication skills with ability to effectively communicate tax issues to non-tax personnel. Strong consensus builder and team player; strong skills at communicating with upper management on a range of broad business plans. Proven track record of being able to manage and execute significant restructuring projects that require excellent project management skills, strong working knowledge of the organizational operations and the ability to work closely with groups outside of tax within the corporate structure. Strong commercial and business awareness. Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact. Preferred qualifications: Broad finance experience with a proven ability to work extensively with those individuals within the organization responsible for the accounting, finance, capital expenditure, transfer pricing and treasurer functions. Knowledge of transfer pricing. Knowledge of Tax Accounting and in particular US GAAP accounting (including ASC 740-10). Last Date to Apply for Job: June 28, 2021
