Labor and Employment Attorney The candidate will be responsible for providing labor, employment, and immigration legal advice and counsel, and trainings to Business Human Resources (HR), HR Program Offices, managers, and business groups. The range of legal advice covers a broad spectrum of Intel's labor, employment, and immigration policies and programs impacting the full employee life cycle, including recruiting, hiring, terms and conditions of employment, and terminations. The Attorney also will have the opportunity to support other employment law compliance matters such as equal employment opportunity laws (Title VII, ADEA, ADA, etc.), diversity and inclusion, OFCCP compliance, wage and hour, reductions-in-force, disability and leaves of absence, paid time off programs, immigration, labor relations, background investigations, pay equity, contingent worker programs, and other labor and employment legal related areas for Intel and its subsidiaries when the opportunity arises. Strategic, risk-optimized legal advice and training for all the areas noted above. Serve as trusted advisor to HR, legal partners and business groups on labor, employment, and immigration law compliance issues, including all the areas noted above. Interact with other Human Resources, Internal Audit, Corporate Security, Government and Corporate Affairs, and the Ethics and Compliance Office on legal compliance and workforce policy issues. Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow through on numerous projects simultaneously. Ability to work well both independently and successfully collaborate with other legal and business colleagues in fast paced geographically dispersed organization. Excellent legal and business judgment, high standards, and impeccable integrity. Ability to think strategically and to give clear, practical, firm, actionable advice in the face of ambiguity, uncertainty, emotion, and disagreement. Ability to identify unique solutions for individuals while maintaining consistent and efficient program results. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication, and a sense of humor. Ability to effectively establish, influence, collaborate, and maintain accountability in key partner relationships and working teams. Proficient at synthesizing large amounts of information to a critical few important themes/issues and clearly communicating these to stakeholders and business partners. Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active state bar membership for the state in which you work. 6 or more years of labor, employment, immigration litigation, counseling, and compliance experience; business group counsel experience; or similar in-house legal experience. Strong substantive knowledge of a full range of labor, employment, and immigration laws or business and commercial law compliance. International and California employment law experience desirable, but not required.
