Senior Corporate Counsel

Senior Corporate Counsel Duties: Gain deep knowledge and understanding of daily fantasy sports, sports betting, and iGaming laws and regulations. Liaise between business units and regulators related to all promotions across all product verticals and evaluate and resolve any marketing and promotional offer issues. Provide support to the marketing, product, and compliance teams on the interpretation of regulatory requirements. Regularly evaluate the user-facing aspects of the company s product offerings in light of legal and regulatory requirements. Advise clients on advertising materials and commercial messaging to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and voluntary industry guidelines. Work on other projects, which may include funding-related activities, legal research, and help with intellectual property program. Manage and direct outside law firms where necessary. Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited institution with excellent academic credentials. 6-8 years of legal experience preferably a combination of in-house and law firm experience. Must have interest in and knowledge of domestic and international laws and regulations governing consumer protection, intellectual property law (e.g., copyright and trademark), advertising and marketing law, and social media legal issues. Proven and demonstrated experience managing and negotiating high-stakes, nuanced matters. Genuine desire to learn and adapt to an in-house legal environment in a technology-driven growth-stage company. Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for working cross-functionally. Organization and focus in prioritizing and managing multiple projects at once Ability to collaborate with all personality types, including Marketing, Product, Creative, Operations across all levels of the organization.
