Senior Manager Privacy Attorney

Senior Manager Privacy Attorney Duties: Generally focused on applying knowledge of one or more legal specialties as it develops a deeper knowledge of the business operations of the company. May review and prepare legal documents prior to presentation to management for execution to ensure accurate expression of the legal content. Generally receives specific direction from management or more senior law professionals as to the outcomes, process, and schedules expected. May research legal principles and precedents, consult with outside counsel, draft legal documents, gather relevant case-related information using multiple sources and methods, and provide work guidance to paraprofessional and support staff in developing solutions to problems presented. Work to develop fluency in legal concepts impacting the work performed. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and 3+ years of post-bar attorney legal work experience in a combination of law firm and corporate settings. Required licensure to practice law in at least one state. Required Illinois bar membership or active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Experience with time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. Preferred Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and 5 years of post-bar attorney legal work experience in a combination of law firm and corporate settings. Experience provides counsel to health care clients regarding the application of federal and state privacy laws. Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams to design solutions that permit the use and disclosure of patient information via electronic means such as cloud storage, mobile apps, and health information exchanges. Experience providing counsel regarding consumer privacy laws, including, California Consumer Privacy Act.
