Real Estate Counsel

Real Estate Counsel Candidate will draft and negotiate retail contracts and amendments; prepare and negotiate development related agreements, such as easements, declarations, REAs, etc.; draft, analyze and abstract leases; review title and survey matters and coordinate corrective action with our real estate and development team; and provide other services as part of our Legal team. Will: Assist Senior Real Estate Counsel with all legal aspects of deals running through real estate development program. The position should also seek to find ways to improve processes, save time and money and improve speed to closing. Prepare and negotiate documents such as purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, easements, REAs and related agreement for real estate development projects. Title and survey review and preparing corrective documents to address any concerns. Working with the real estate and development teams to resolved matters discovered during due diligence. Assist with drafting and negotiating leases and lease-related documents. Create/revise form documents for real estate transactions with a focus on consistency and speed of execution. Train the real estate and development teams in the use of the Company's preferred forms. Assist in advising internal clients concerning contractual obligations of the Company. Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements: JD Degree and licensed in the State of TN or licensed in good standing in another state and qualified for in-house counsel registration in TN. 3+ years working in commercial real estate transactions. Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated resourcefulness. Excellent attention to detail. Reliable self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team. High level of proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel (Microsoft Office). Strong experience in title and survey review required. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with groups internally and externally, including senior executives.
