Litigation Counsel

Litigation Counsel Duties: Handles litigation and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines established by the Claims Department. Handles motions, arbitrations, bench trials, and jury trials commensurate with level of experience, including preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs, attendance at hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations and trials, and performance of any other tasks or duties necessary for the proper representation of clients. Maintains and updates computerized litigation support system for assigned caseloads. Promotes the ethical and professional practice of law while interacting with Title Resources Team Players, clients, litigants, members of the bar, members of the judiciary and their staff, and all others, while engaged in the practice of law on behalf of clients and Title Resources. Performs other functions as assigned.

Requirements: JD Degree from an A.B.A. Accredited Law School. An active member and in good standing with the State Bar of Florida. Detailed knowledge of Florida civil litigation practice, including local and state discovery rules, trial procedures and applicable substantive law commensurate with level of experience.
