Corporate Counsel - Regulatory The candidate will provide legal advice and representation to the company. Organizes and directs the company's activities to protect its interests from a legal and/or regulatory standpoint. Essential Functions: Reviewing marketing materials for compliance with applicable regulations. Researching and monitoring regulations and updating the company on compliance strategies and requirements. Assisting with regulatory communications, registrations and inspections, as needed. Coordinating and working on various international regulatory issues. Potential involvement in and support for additional areas of the company, including: Drafting and reviewing a wide range of legal documents, including policies and contracts. Working with outside counsel to oversee document production and/or obtain or provide evidence to minimize the exposure to the company. Evaluating risks, legal costs, and related matters to advise the company on the likely outcomes of disputes or litigation. Involvement in employment matters and disputes. Additional responsibilities as required. May train and evaluate support staff. Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Should have Law Degree, preferably from top 20 law school and/or top 20% of class. Must have 2 years professional legal experience in a law firm environment. Some in-house experience also desired. Extensive relevant in-house experience may be acceptable in lieu of law firm experience. Experience in FDA regulations preferred, particularly regarding supplements, foods and/or cosmetics is required. Should be admitted to practice law in a State.
