Corporate Counsel Duties: Act as the first point of contact with business partners for all legal department projects, evaluate, prioritize and disposition all requests. Review and negotiate various commercial contracts and vendor agreements. Be a company resource for contract related questions and processes. Oversee and coordinate with outside counsel regarding 5.11's Intellectual Property portfolio and brand enforcement activity. Identify and analyze relevant industry regulatory considerations and propose risk mitigating solutions. Advise management on compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures, and a wide range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters. Coordinate compliance programs. Manage contract change requests and coordinate the appropriate review with stakeholders. Conduct legal research and analysis. Maintain corporate records, including contracts, litigation materials and other legal documentation. Liaise between company attorneys, outside counsel and company employees. Communicate findings through meetings, presentations and/or detailed reports. Work cross functionally with various departments to meet business objectives. Implement and manage a company-wide corporate records retention process. Lead the effort to establish a contracts management system and request process to streamline contract operations.

Qualifications: JD degree and member in good standing with The State Bar of California; 2-5 years in-house legal experience; Experience in general business contracting; Ability to negotiate independently with business partners on matters of strategic importance that affect a substantial portion of the business or matters of significant importance to the executive leadership group; Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills; Superior oral and written communication skills; Self-motivated, energetic, and the ability to work independently; Ability to manage and drive projects with only general supervision; Attention to detail; and Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
