Associate Counsel - Privacy & Commercial Duties: Advising the business on all privacy matters, including global data protection laws and regulations (including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA). Provide ongoing support for the Company's Data Privacy compliance program, including: Review and update relevant data privacy materials, such as website privacy notices, employee privacy notices, data protection agreements, etc. assist in information gathering and analysis activities for Records of Processing activities (e.g., Records of Processing and Data Protection Impact Assessments) conduct training on privacy, data protection and related matters Lead the Company's efforts to monitor, educate, and promote compliance with evolving federal, state, and international privacy requirements. Monitoring and understanding local privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA) and recommending appropriate steps to ensure ongoing privacy compliance. Assessing local compliance risks and implementing procedures to mitigate those risks. Acting as a contact point for external parties (e.g. Data subjects, supervisory authorities) and for employees within regarding data protection matters. Providing general advice to the business regarding privacy and associated risks. Manage external counsel handling privacy related support, applying a focus on cost efficient handling and resolution of privacy matters and ensuring management of and adherence to budgets. Develop, deploy, and oversee the HIPAA compliance program across all service lines, including training, communications, monitoring, and auditing. Provide advice and counsel to business leaders regarding commercial and transactional matters, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts, and implementing standardized contracting policies and procedures related to privacy and data management.

Qualifications: JD Degree or equivalent degree with license to practice in at least one jurisdiction. 6+ years of privacy and commercial legal experience, preferably in a corporate setting. Experience with issues and related analysis of GDPR, CCPA and similar privacy laws. Experience in commercial matters, and contract review of data protection agreements and clauses, privacy notices, etc. Knowledge of HIPAA and HIPAA compliance requirements. Champion of Change and Innovation, Effective Communicator, Promoter of Ethics, Decisive. Experience with global project management, process excellence, business acumen. Ability to develop and implement global programs related to privacy, legal, and compliance. Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills, including experience interacting with senior leaders. High integrity, solid judgment, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize work to meet deadlines. Self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision.
