Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel The candidate will be responsible for IP enforcement for Nintendo brands including customs level enforcement across multiple jurisdictions, investigations and online enforcement in coordination with counsel. Provides legal advice on complex intellectual property enforcement issues. Management of IP enforcement-related litigation across multiple jurisdictions in consultation with counsel. Prepares legal documents, settlement agreements, written reports, presentations and updates relevant to a global executive audience. Communicates with parent company, outside contacts, including outside counsel, partner companies, industry representatives, governmental representatives, and other parties as needed. Pursues and maintains most current knowledge of company business, products and technology. Works collaboratively with cross-functional international teams that support global enforcement activities on behalf of Nintendo. Develops and delivers anti-counterfeiting training materials to external national and regional law enforcement and customs authorities as well as awareness training for internal stakeholders. Assists with other IP tasks in support of company objectives as needed. Assists with budget development and global compliance. May have direct or indirect responsibilities for leading and developing a team. 4 years related experience required. Ability to identify, develop and implement IP enforcement strategies required. Strong communication and organizational skills required. Maintains knowledge of current legal issues in the area of intellectual property and enforcement, with a focus on copyright and trademark law knowledge. Exceptional writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills required. Law degree and membership in the Washington State Bar Association, or other comparable state qualification required.
