Director, Compliance Counsel Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Company's compliance program, including support in areas such as the following: Communicating with and providing guidance to business units as required. Conduct risk assessments, internal compliance monitoring, compliance investigations. Assist with compliance communication and training programs. Track and assess Company compliance with policies and procedures and the overall effectiveness of the compliance program. Requirements: JD Degree from an accredited law school, currently in good standing with a state Bar association. 5-8 years of experience with compliance programs in the health care industry, preferably with a medical device company. Good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework affecting the medical device industry including interactions with health care professionals and end-user customers, federal and state false claims, anti-kickback, anti-inducement and transparency reporting laws and regulations, HIPAA data privacy and security, the AdvaMed Code of Ethics, standards established by CMS and DHHS-OIG for effective compliance programs, Medicare Part D and pharmacy pricing/formulary matters, and clinical research. Preferred Skills and Competencies: Good interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate complex legal and regulatory issues effectively across the organization. Ability to influence, build trust, work independently and collaboratively, and develop positive relationships throughout the Company. Ability to investigate and review highly confidential organizational issues with integrity and apply good judgment to the process. Strong problem resolution skills and ability to multitask, prioritize and respond to emerging issues effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
