Senior Counsel, Employment Law Responsibilities: Represent the company in response to threatened claims, and before government agencies in employment discrimination and wage claims. Provide legal counsel to clients regarding all employment and labor law issues, including non-competes and trade secrets. Provide employment and labor law support on corporate transactions, restructures, policies, and other employee-related agreements. Support corporate compliance initiatives and HR projects. Provide project direction and supervision of outside counsel on domestic and international matters. Support HR in the development of affirmative action plans and goals, and compliance audits. Develop and conduct employment-related training.

Qualifications: JD degree and appropriate licensure to practice law in Illinois. 7+ years of practice. In-house experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and employment/labor law is required. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment and labor laws. Experience representing clients in government agencies, drafting and negotiating agreements, drafting policies, and employment litigation.
