Senior Counsel, International Employment Law (EMEA) Duties: Provide legal advice and counseling on a wide range of international labor and employment topics and matters in EMEA, including: performance management, wage and hour, labor relations, compensation and benefits, employment agreements, leaves of absence and accommodations, and internal investigations. Support, aid, and facilitate international expansion into new markets in Europe and the Middle East, including development of policies and practices and compliance with location-specific employment laws and regulations. Act as an on-going partner and resource to Human Resources for international operations. Manage outside counsel for international employment-related advice, litigation, grievances, and/or arbitration. Draft and review employment-related policies and procedures for legal compliance in international markets. Investigate and respond to employee issues, administrative complaints, audits, and other pre-litigation inquiries in international markets. Support drafting and formation of employment and severance agreements in international markets. Help develop and conduct training on legal issues for employees, managers, and Human Resources for international markets. Conduct internal audits and evaluations of internal policies and practices to ensure compliance with business objectives and applicable laws. Partner with business teams to provide advice and creative solutions to complex problems. Identify legal risks and opportunities within the legal and employment area and propose practical, business-minded solutions. Work seamlessly and collaboratively as a legal business partner to multiple internal business stakeholders.

Qualifications: Law degree (J.D.) from ABA-accredited institution. Eligible to practice law in California. 6+ years of substantive labor and employment experience with a corporate legal department or law firm, with particular focus on international employment law. AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred. In-house experience, with focus on international employment law preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively relay complex information in a concise format. Practical business judgment. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects. Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful, and taking on additional responsibility
