Associate Corporate Counsel - Copyright Responsibilities: Conduct day-to-day operations for DMCA/copyright takedown process. Develop processes for efficiently and effectively preparing, sending, tracking, and reporting with respect to copyright takedowns. Follow-up with and respond to correspondence from recipients of takedown notices. Coordinate with content rights holders and anti-piracy monitoring vendors to ensure accuracy and measure effectiveness of takedown efforts. Support outside counsel in preparing and pursuing litigation against pirate services and sellers of pirate services, and enforce injunctive orders arising out of such litigation. Contact and coordinate with law enforcement to prosecute the individuals behind pirate services. Assist with development of strategy and provide advice regarding anti-piracy issues. Keep content rights holders, vendors, attorneys, and anti-piracy team updated with ongoing status of DMCA/copyright takedown efforts. Work with IBCAP, a coalition of international broadcasters formed to curtail the piracy of international video content, to share information and to help support IBCAP s efforts. Qualifications: JD degree with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school. Must have 2+ years of copyright enforcement and DMCA experience. Copyright and trademark litigation experience is a plus. Knowledge of and interest in technology, including the internet and related protocols and network conventions. Interest in working with a coalition of international media companies focused on reducing copyright infringement. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Proficiency with databases and reporting tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Colorado Bar membership or ability to obtain full license or appropriate limited license or certification necessary to practice law in Colorado.
