Senior Director, Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Reporting to the General Counsel, will be responsible for supporting the Company with legal and transactional matters, including drafting reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of business and commercial contracts, licensing, manufacturing, supply, clinical, distribution, material transfer and consulting agreements. Provide legal counsel on variety of legal issues to a broad spectrum of business and functional areas, including business development, supply, manufacturing, research & development, IT, commercial and HR. Provide leadership and oversight to the contracting process and lifecycle as well as administration of the contract management system (LawVu) Support the U.S. legal team in providing legal perspective and advice to guide internal stakeholders in achieving business objectives and making business decisions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. May be asked to assist in special projects, such as internal investigations, acquisitions, and other transactional projects. Will leverage knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical/life science industry to make legal recommendations in the best interest of the company.

Qualifications: JD Degree with strong academic credentials. Admission to and in good standing with the Bar of at least one state. For candidates not admitted to the bar of New York, eligibility to register as In-House Counsel in the State of New York. 6+ years experience, which should include experience with a top law firm, preferably working with global pharmaceutical and/or life science clients. Deep knowledge and experience with contract management software and tools Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills. Privacy - Knowledge of privacy laws in the health care industry. Ability to coordinate projects, balance multiple priorities, and work closely with cross-functional groups. Communication ? excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem solving skills Attention to detail, strong priority setting skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Preferred candidates must have substantial knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry and experience handling general corporate commercial issues arising in the pharmaceutical context, including drafting and negotiating various agreements, and experience negotiating complex legal transactions (licenses and acquisitions).
