Corporate Counsel - Employment Policy and Compliance Responsibilities: Partnering with the People (HR) Team and business leaders to evaluate legal risk and provide subject matter expertise on a broad range of employment issues, including: recruiting and hiring, employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence, accommodations, compensation and benefits, wage and hour, workplace investigations, terminations, and contingent workforce matters. Drafting and revising employment-related agreements, templates, policies, and procedures, such as offer letters, confidentiality/restrictive covenant agreements, and handbooks, and implementing controls throughout the organization with respect thereto; Conducting internal audits, classification reviews, and other efforts to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws throughout the country; Investigating and responding to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment-related inquiries (e.g., EEOC, DOL, NLRB, and other state/local agencies); Developing and conducting training and education programs for employees, supervisors, and the People (HR) Team; Monitoring important employment law developments across the country Working with internal clients to solve legal, risk and business issues; Managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects; and Populating and maintaining internal reports and data sets on HR trends and developments.

Requirements: Must be in good standing and be admitted to a U.S. state Bar; 6+ years of legal experience focused on employment and labor with 1-2 years of in-house experience preferred; Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization; A self-starter attitude, combined with the ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking; Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization's various departments; and Must be organized and work well within a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
