Corporate Counsel Duties: Negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, distribution agreements, partnerships, leases, LOIs, etc. Consulting with management, tax, accounting, finance, marketing, engineering, and all areas of the business to support their legal needs with advice on a variety of different legal and strategic issues. Advise and lead diligence on various acquisitions. Update and continue to develop the organization's policies, including identifying industry-specific issues, governance, and regulatory affairs. Designing, updating, and delivering legal training to the business. Becoming a trusted advisor for the leadership of various different areas of the business. Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school. Law firm or in-house lawyers with 1-3 years of experience and licensed to practice in at least one state or the District of Columbia. Must have authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis. Understand commercial and corporate law. Ability to work in a highly autonomous role. High-energy, self-starting, works well independently and in a team atmosphere. Proven leadership skills either in school or professional experience. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Organized and detailed-oriented with ability to multitask and adapt to variable work assignments across multiple legal departments and other functions in an extremely fast-moving environment. Ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet multiple deadlines. Ability to think strategically, while managing the details. Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
