Associate Legal Counsel (compliance)

Associate Legal Counsel (Compliance) Duties: Develop and/or administer company-wide legal programs such as compliance, risk management, policy management, data privacy, and corporate governance. Support the company s incident reporting and investigation process directly by investigating allegations of misconduct and by providing support and advice to internal lawyers and outside firms conducting investigations. Serve as a trusted advisor to the company s HR team and provide guidance on labor, employment, and compensation matters. Research and legal advice on a wide range of matters regarding Accruent s operations. Assist with ad hoc legal initiatives (e.g., entity structuring, privacy/security, data usage rights analysis, risk mitigation, etc.). Support the contracts team in drafting and negotiating customer, partner, and vendor agreements as needed. Qualifications: Licensed attorney with strong academic credentials. 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years of compliance and employment work, with a preference for candidates with meaningful in-house experience. Experience with software or technology industry preferred. Ability to thrive as a member of a team. Ability to own and drive projects to completion. Orientation towards continuous improvement. Understanding of business objectives and ability to appropriately assess risk. Proven track record of good judgment and ability to protect company interests. Maturity to interact effectively and with confidence across all leadership levels. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
