Counsel 2- Real Estate Valuation Services

Counsel 2- Real Estate Valuation Services Duties: Support appraisal and valuation policy development and operational management activities across the Consumer Lending Division. Serve as the primary legal department point of contact with the Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) team and the enterprise compliance and risk control partners who support the consumer lending real estate valuation program. The functional support areas assigned to this position will include policy and governance, appraisal development and procurement, staff management, vendor management, quality control, quality assurance, appraisal data, and analytics development and management, program strategy development, regulatory and legal change implementation, and business process management. Engage directly with enterprise shared services leaders, line of business leaders, Legal Department subject matter experts, and control and compliance partners in the continued refinement and operation of an integrated risk and control structure.

Qualifications: Active State Bar membership. 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. Desired Qualifications: Ability to research law and regulations and develop advice with respect to complex legal issues using the public as well as company websites and databases. Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience preparing legal memoranda for senior attorneys and business leaders. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work while handling multiple matters. Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a high degree of collaboration. Effective in building partnerships, functioning well with project teams, and working for the success of the team. Familiarity with FIRREA requirements and USPAP standards. Close Date: 11/06/2021.
