Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel Duties: Serving as counsel on a broad range of matters relating to the DSP program, including advising on partner relations, driver experience and safety, regulatory and compliance issues (including transportation, labor and employment, competition, consumer protection, and privacy), contract negotiations, and pre-litigation dispute resolution. Developing the strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and building processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

Qualifications: J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in one state Bar. 5+ years of legal experience at a law firm, corporation, military, or similar experience. Preferred Qualifications: A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience (ideally in a start-up or other rapid-growth phase) is a plus, with experience in technology transactions, product counseling, and/or privacy. Ability to work effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in fast-paced, ambiguous situations. Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical and computer skills.
