Senior Litigation Counsel

Senior Litigation Counsel Candidate will manage the company's litigation function and support global business, providing legal advice and support on a broad range of issues, including general litigation matters (US and global), global customs, global trade topics, tax compliance, and other, related matters facing a growing consumer products company. Will also support consumer claims team, providing advice and guidance where necessary. Qualifications: JD Degree. 10+ years relevant experience at a large law firm and/or publicly traded company is required. Prior in-house experience is preferred. Strong management and leadership skills. Ability to drive process changes. Exceptional and demonstrated project management skills. Ability to build positive relationships with senior management and other members of the legal team and to influence outcomes positively. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and direction. Ability to resolve ambiguities and provide legal guidance in uncertain situations. Strategic thinking to drive efficiencies and provide business advice and solutions. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to understand and tailor messages to various audiences. Must possess strong legal and organizational judgment. Regulatory experience a plus. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team as projects dictate. Ability to think strategically, and find resolutions to complex legal issues. Ability to quickly identify critical legal risks and to appreciate both the immediate and longer-term impacts of different legal courses of action. Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Ability to manage outside counsel and manage budgets. Global mindset and ability to work virtually with business colleagues in other regions. Must be both detail-oriented and efficient. High initiative, self-starter and willingness to learn new areas of the law. Business-minded, practical thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to build knowledge in particular areas of law.
