Senior Corporate Counsel - Contracts / Privacy Duties: Reporting to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will be an experienced corporate counsel with considerable experience drafting and negotiating inbound and outbound commercial agreements, as well as a demonstrated expertise in global privacy laws and regulations. Drafting and negotiating end user license agreements, distributor, reseller, and other sales-related agreements as well as supplier/vendor agreements, technology partner agreements, and software evaluation agreements. Serving as the escalation point for data privacy provisions in both inbound and outbound commercial agreements, directly negotiating privacy-related terms and data protection agreements with vendors and enterprise customers. Anticipating and proactively solving contractual and privacy-related challenges for the business related to new product offerings, country-specific requirements, and evolving regulatory controls to support the execution of an accelerated and aggressive global growth plan. Collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to manage various privacy and security-related projects and initiatives, providing practical, actionable advice. Supporting the application of privacy by design principles by managing the data protection impact assessment/privacy impact assessment process for new and existing product features as well as the mapping of internal data processing activities.

Qualifications: BA/BS and J.D. (or the Irish equivalent). Lawyer qualified to practice in at least one U.S. state or Ireland. 6-8 years of experience in-house experience, with significant experience and confidence negotiating customer-facing software agreements, inbound procurement, and licensing agreements. Deep understanding of state, federal, and international privacy laws, and regulations, including but not limited to CCPA, GDPR, LGPD, PIPEDA, etc. Demonstrated experience with data privacy issues; experience operationalizing privacy programs to scale with the needs of the business. Strong understanding of software technology and cloud services, and experience successfully advising product development teams on addressing privacy requirements. Self-starter, with a proven ability to identify issues, resolve problems, and take ownership to drive projects to completion with limited supervision. Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of contracts and related matters. Exceptional attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Sense of humor and commitment to professionalism. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to handle high-stress situations in a professional, business-like manner. Ability to thrive in a high-paced, changing work environment. Able to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, and customers (both internally and externally). Attention to detail, accuracy, and good follow-through skills.
