Senior Counsel I - Labor & Employment The candidate will be lawyers specializing in laws & regulations/policies & practices as it pertains to employees, including in the areas of benefits, compensation and human rights. Will also specialize and provide guidance and counsel in union negotiations and employee relations matters. May lead functional teams or projects. Presents business solutions to HR and Business leaders. Provides legal counsel regarding compliance with labor and employment laws. Drafts various employment-related agreements. Represent the company in mediations, employment/labor arbitrations and before various administrative agencies. Retains and works effectively with outside counsel and cost-effectively manages labor and employment litigation.

The candidate should have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Must have 4 years of licensed practice in labor and employment law. Must be a member in good standing with the State Bar. Strong oral and written communication skills plus. Should preferably have strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects is a plus. The ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs is desired. Established project management skills plus.
