Contracts Director (In House Counsel) Duties: Advise (and assist on various legal, risk management, insurance, contract/compliance issues). Risk assessment (to include contract exceptions & risk mitigation). Evaluation (redline, negotiate, draft and finalize contracts with management review & approval). Logical & development/review of contractual documents (including NDAs, Prime Agreements, Subcontract, and service agreements/statements of work). Process management (management/resolution of various insurance claims/litigation). Prepare Documents (compose/maintain complex sensitive documents, project, and other various agreements and discovery documents). Customer service (serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters). Contract resolution (address any issues that may arise both internally/externally and escalate critical/sensitive issues to management with recommendation for resolution). Advise (provide guidance/direction to carry out contract administration consistent with company established policies. Contract life cycle communication (provide contract status/requirements appropriate stakeholders such as PMs, CFO, CEO, Contracts Specialist etc.). Change orders (assist accounting with change order logs/submissions as necessary). WIPs (attend monthly WIP meeting preparation as necessary). Remain Current on all matters pertaining to budget (to include schedule, document management, and procurement to guide team accordingly). Closeout (ensure the job closeout process is done timely and accurately such as extensions/renewals as appropriate). Subcontracts (manage subcontracts on all jobs). Record Keeping (all contract-related correspondence and documentation as well as maintain contract listing). Understand and provide insurance information on new jobs. Tracking (assist with tacking insurance policies and certificates). File Maintenance (organize/maintain legal, claims/insurance files and documents). Complete bi-annual performance reviews (using the Go, Caution, Stop forms and Dyna annual review process to ensure KPI's and goals/objectives are being met). Coaching/Counseling employee (handling employee performance issues as the arise, direct, and monitor professional development/training). Provide guidance (for case management, legal interpretations, industry standards). Attend meetings (project kick-offs, point out important contract matters and notice requirements). Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established. Promote company culture/standards (lead from the front).

Qualifications: JD Degree or bachelor's degree and 8+ years as a Contracts Administrator; construction industry preferred. Passed the Bar exam in state residing or a Certified Contracts Manager. Knowledge of construction insurance liability certificates preferred Knowledge of the construction industry and contracting practices. Experience negotiating and writing contracts, preferably in the construction industry. Working knowledge of federal, state and city regulations and guidelines. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel). Familiarity with project management/document control software. Familiarity with construction/financial software packages. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism, and commitment to company values. Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail. Must possess ability to manage and supervise personnel. Must build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers, and customers. Collaborative team player, with strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical and communication (oral and written) skills. Exceptional business ethics, influence, and leadership skills
