Corporate Counsel Duties: Gain hands-on experience within a growing and ambitious legal department working in a fast-paced start-up environment. Provide highly effective legal solutions that support with culture and mission. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts. Be a key contributor in the Company's compliance program, working closely with other legal team members and business teams and other functions to assess and manage compliance risk. Partner with Company stakeholders across the organization to ensure appropriate legal review of various projects. Research and interpret applicable laws, regulations, standards, and best practices to support Company growth and innovation. Develop training materials for Company stakeholders, including sales/business teams and marketing teams, focusing on best practices that support Company success. Drive and assist with various legal department projects, including improving legal team processes, forms, and efficiencies. Interface with the Company's human resources, sales, product development, and marketing departments on strategic projects.

Qualifications: A JD Degree from an accredited law school licensed to practice in at least one state, preferably Massachusetts or California. 2-4 years relevant in-house or law firm experience, ideally in the corporate, life sciences or regulatory sectors. Expertise with government contracts, regulations, standards, and health-related programs a plus. Excellent verbal and written presentation and interpersonal communication skills, and sharp critical-thinking skills that demonstrate sound judgment. Build strong relationships and excel at communicating legal concepts to non-lawyers; Take an organized approach and encourage others to take such approach in solving problems; Use technology to improve the efficiency and quality of the services provided by the legal team; Foster cohesion within a growing and ambitious department by being team-oriented; Integrate legal and business knowledge to provide balanced advice regarding risks; and Be flexible, enthusiastic, highly responsive, proactive, and of a positive mindset.
