Senior Corporate Counsel

Senior Corporate Counsel The candidate will prepare, draft, negotiate and finalize contracts, including confidentiality agreements, third party vendor agreements and other agreements. Ability to monitor multi-state regulatory requirements and analyze legal and regulatory issues in areas of employment, real estate, mortgage lending, and assist with developing related policies and procedures. Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors on contract review, renewals and amendments, as needed. Advice on the organization's Human Resources, Benefits, and Payroll Departments on various employment law issues, including but not limited to wage and hour compliance, compensation, employee relations, immigration compliance, unlawful discrimination claims, leave of absence and accommodations, terminations, reductions in force, benefits, and personnel-related subpoenas. Review and investigate allegations on litigated accounts and assist Chief Legal Counsel, outside counsel and servicing legal management. Ability to oversee and manage claims, litigation management and outside counsel. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. D. from an accredited law school and in good standing. Admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio or any other applicable jurisdiction(s). Should have 5-8 years of experience as a practicing attorney with a law firm, corporation or government agency. Prior experience working at a real estate/mortgage/banking/ financial services or law firm handling residential mortgages is a plus. Familiarity with federal and state regulatory compliance. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, Federal and/or governmental regulations.
