Corporate Legal Counsel The candidate's duties include: Provide timely legal advice and contract turnaround to support a rapid-paced and growing commercial team; Resolve legal issues using negotiation skills, judgement, creativity and legal expertise; Draft and negotiate purchase agreements with individual hospitals, hospital groups and group purchasing organizations; Own the Legal Department's relationships with certain internal clients, coordinating support for a wide range of legal needs; Review commercial programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, including those relevant to the sale and marketing of medical device products in the United States, such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, and the Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act; Collaborate with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Sales Ops to fully understand relevant issues and develop balanced advice; Identify and resolve complex legal issues pertaining to the sale of's medical device products; Actively promote and support the Quality Management System, Quality Objectives, and Quality Policy; Assure that you and functional subordinates (if applicable) are trained on all applicable procedures and processes according to Good Manufacturing Practices, applicable FDA and Regulatory requirements; Actively promote and support the company's Management Review process; Inform responsible personnel of concerns involving product quality; Perform job functions in a safe and effective manner; Other duties as assigned. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and 3-5 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment with significant experience in medical device or life sciences required. Strong academic background required. Member of a US state bar in good standing. Strong commercial contracting, negotiation and counseling background required. Demonstrated understanding of the laws, regulations, standards, and guidance governing the conduct of a medical device company required. Strong organizational skills and solid business judgment required.
