Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel The candidate will work with the Corporate Counsel to streamline the contracting process, including owning all aspects of assigned contracts through the contract lifecycle. Negotiate, draft, and review contracts, agreements, memos and other documents. Ensure the organization's business practices comply with applicable laws and regulations. Research areas of law as needed, for example, new product areas that the business might look to enter, intellectual property issues, and software licensing issues. Represent the Legal Department in office-wide initiatives when required. Advice and support various departments across the company, including sales, marketing, finance, engineering and production on legal issues and business risks, as well as broader company policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.

The candidate should have 5-7 years of legal experience, including at least 3+ years in-house. A JD from an accredited law school. Current member in good standing of at least one State Bar. Experience working in-house at a technology company is preferred. Strong working knowledge of contracts, conflicts of interest, and compliance. Display strong business judgment and critical thinking. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to execute while working independently as well as on teams and across other departments. Willingness and flexibility to develop and learn new areas of expertise as necessary for changing business needs.
