Corporate Counsel, Mergers and Acquisitions Duties: Functional lead for the Company's mergers and acquisitions process (overseeing diligence and document negotiation, and providing counsel on legal issues and integration matters) in concert with cross-functional teams and, as needed, outside counsel. Legal lead for public company financial transactions. Advising and leading corporate entity reorganizations, consolidations, dissolutions, intercompany activities, restructurings and repatriation of capital across Hubbell's enterprise, including significant international work. Reviewing and advising on various corporate compliance issues and regulatory matters, including, without limitation, antitrust and financial matters. Participating in the design and development of corporate policies, procedures, and programs required for a public company and providing counsel and guidance on legal, regulatory and compliance matters. Managing effective use, coordination and oversight of outside counsel and legal spend. Collaborating and working as part of a team with business leaders and other partners to provide innovative solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Developing an understanding of and familiarity with the operation of the company's business, products, markets, facilities, and customers.

Qualifications: Doctorate Degree in Law. Admission to the Connecticut Bar or another U.S. jurisdiction. In-house experience strongly preferred. Public company experience preferred. Hard-working, energetic, creative, self-motivated, and exhibit a passion for understanding Hubbell's business and contributing to its business objectives. Sound ethical compliance and an ability to work independently and as part of a team, across various non-Legal functions and geographies. Ability to demonstrate business savvy and strategic thinking to problem solve matters and drive solutions. An ethics-oriented attorney with sound character and excellent business, legal and ethical judgment. Significant experience in leading acquisitions and dispositions across multiple functions and stakeholders. Significant experience drafting and negotiating contracts, licenses and other agreements. Strong understanding of business financials. Effective communicator, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, and colleagues. Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to handle a high volume of matters while balancing competing demands. Self-starter, willing to take initiative, lead and manage projects and drive projects to conclusion. Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to communicate (both orally and in written form) and interact effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
