AWS Database Corporate Counsel, AWS Products Duties: Support the AWS database and analytics, product teams. Guide and counsel business partners on a broad range of areas, including identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies, responding to urgent security requests, negotiating strategic and technology licensing agreements, overseeing regulatory and contractual compliance, and analyzing and proposing policy positions around the world.

Qualifications: J.D. degree or international equivalent from an accredited law school and active membership in one state Bar. 5+ years of experience practicing law. Experience providing product counseling on complex technology products. Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Experience providing prompt practical and actionable legal advice. Strong analytical, written, and oral communication. Curiosity, and a willingness to learn and grow in a team environment. Preferred: Experience with database software, machine learning technology, IP licensing and technology transactions, data privacy, cloud computing, open-source software, or enterprise software systems. A combination of law firm and in-house experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sound and practical business judgment. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow-through, and meet deadlines.
